The formation of the British Damage Management Association (BDMA) marked a milestone in relations between the insurance industry and those who provide recovery and restoration services.
Modern damage management involves highly technical disciplines and the industry is traditionally intensely competitive. The creation of the British Damage Management Association (BDMA) indicated the significance damage management practitioners attach to the establishment and maintenance of uniform standards of care and codes of practice, underpinned by technical and corporate training.
The British Damage Management Association (BDMA) is committed to responding to the insurers’ need for contractors to work to recognised standards.
The British Damage Management Association (BDMA) only allows certified restoration practioners to display the Collective Mark (as seen on the right), allowing potential customers and the public in general to identify highly skilled technicians and damage management organisations.
Richfords Fire and Flood is proud to be a Corporate member of the British Damage Management Association (BDMA). This is the highest level of accreditation a damage restoration firm can achieve and means that our technicians are trained to the highest standards of British Damage Management Association (BDMA) Training.
In fact our company is regarded so highly within the sector that our director Steven Richford was asked by the British Damage Management Association (BDMA) to write the current BDMA Training Manual.
The British Damage Management Association (BDMA) is making excellent steps to bring in regulated standards to our industry and Richfords Fire and Flood is pleased to be a member.
