Introduction of New Drying Technology Allows Local Company To Go National

October 2007

Richfords have invested in new “Super Dryers”, which have been taking the restoration market by storm.

“We have already used the Wet2Dry units in Hull and Gloucestershire where we have been able to use them to excellent effect, getting families back into their homes weeks or months before those families relying on companies using traditional drying methods” says Steven Richford, Managing Director of Richfords Fire & Flood.

“These trailer mounted drying units are able to produce huge volumes of very dry air which is pumped into saturated properties. The moisture is absorbed into the dry air and therefore the property is dried, up to 10 times faster than traditional drying” Comments Michael Cooper, Richfords Business Development Manager.

“The intended launch of the Wet2Dry trailers was this coming winter. However due to the flooding throughout the UK this summer we were called to action earlier than planned,” continues Steven Richford.

“The Wet2Dry” system has been proven in the flood plains of Hull and Gloucester. Due to the trailers small size and manageability we have also found the logistics of moving these machines around the country relatively straightforward. In light of this we have now been able to offer building drying services on a national basis” further comments Mr Cooper.

“This is a good step forward for our company, which has been only able to service one region, until now. By using these trailers we will be able to service the whole country as the leading building drying firm in the UK, whilst still delivering the same high level of customer service that our customers have come to expect,” sums up Mr Cooper.

Many new technologies come and go but it appears that “Super Dryers” are here to stay. Richfords have embraced this technology and are already using it to their advantage. This can only be a good thing for consumers who when effected by flooding will be back into their homes much sooner than expected.
