Always a bridesmaid never the bride...

It has been an active month for the team at Richfords Fire and Flood.

The team from the Camborne based damage restoration company, who are used to tackling the challenges of serious fire and floods have been taking on other local business is a range of sporting events.

On the Sunday 24th July, the team from Richfords took on 14 other teams in the 3rd annual Cornish Dragon Boat Challenge.

The team battled hard in their three heats to challenge for a place in the final.

"All of the team gave 100% effort and we were really pleased to get our best result yet, 4th overall." comments Michael Cooper Business Development Director at Richfords

later in the week on Thursday 28th July, six member of the Richfords team took part in the first annual Beach Volleyball competition, organised by Foot Anstey Solicitors of Truro.

Again the team from Richfords managed to win their heat and make the final.

"4th overall for the second time this week. It seems we are destined to ever be the bridesmaid and not the bride" jokes James Curnow a member of the claims team at Richfords.

"The main thing is we all come out an have some fun together as a team. We do an important job, which can be stressful at times, for example during the flooding at Lostwithel last year, when our whole team is working flat out for weeks to help the local community to recover. So to come out and blow off some steam together is great" James continues.

"I am really pleased to work with such an active team. Everyone in the company works hard and so its great to come to these events together. Staying active is so important to maintain health and my team certainly keep me fit." comments Steven Richford, Managing Director of Richfords Fire and Flood.
