Richfords Technician Plans To Take The 'Wet Way Round' Cornwall

Kyle Abrahams, a technician from Richfords Fire & Flood, is going to undertake a challenge for charity when he takes 'the wet way round' by kayaking around the Cornish peninsula. Along with two other friends the ‘Wet Way Round’ team will kayak 300 miles to raise money for Shelterbox, Help For Heroes and the RNLI.

They plan to set off on 1st May 2010 and anticipate the trip should take them two weeks, kayaking all day and camping under the stars.

The Wet Way Round team are currently training hard, learning safety and survival skills as well as fundraising. They have several fundraising events planned: on 18th April they will be holding a collection day at Tesco Extra in Pool where you can meet The Wet Way Round team and see all the kit that will make the trip possible. On 23rd April they will be holding a charity auction at Tricky's Bar & Restaurant near Redruth to raise money for their chosen charities. Hundreds of great items are up for grabs such as a weekend in France, a mountain bike and spa days.
